This is my personal publishing site. It has no contact form or advertising network. I use limited analytics to understand which writing is useful and whether people explore my work.
If that changes, I will update this page and explain what is collected, why it is needed and where it goes.
01What this site does
What happens when you visit.
The site publishes my writing, workbench notes and project updates. It does not ask you to create an account or submit personal information.
The hosting and network providers may retain ordinary technical logs needed to deliver, secure and diagnose the site. I do not use those logs to build advertising profiles.
02External destinations
When you follow a link.
Links to LinkedIn, GitHub, X, Instagram and other external services are governed by those services’ own privacy practices. Following a link may allow the destination to receive information such as the referring page and your network address.
03Audience statistics
Understanding what is useful.
I use Umami Cloud for public page visits and four kinds of link clicks: email, LinkedIn, GitHub and NOID. A page view does not prove someone read an article, and an email-link click does not prove an email was sent.
Measurements include the public page path and title, browser language and screen size, device/browser information and approximate country. Referral reporting keeps only recognised public service domains, such as LinkedIn or Google. Unknown referrals, query strings and page fragments are discarded. Detailed campaign tags and on-site search phrases are not collected.
The recipient is Umami Cloud, separate from this website’s hosting provider. The configured analytics region is the US. The Hobby plan retains statistics for six months. Network addresses are processed to deliver requests and derive aggregate statistics such as country; I do not use analytics to identify visitors by name.
This integration uses no tracking cookies, advertising profiles, session recordings or heatmaps. It does not send names, email addresses, form contents or private-preview pages. Site access does not depend on analytics being available.
Your choice in this browser.
Analytics respects the browser’s Do Not Track setting and is not designed to bypass blockers. You can also exclude this browser below. That choice uses a local browser-storage setting, not a tracking identifier. Repeat it on other devices or profiles; clearing site storage removes the choice. Changing it reloads this page.

04Future changes
If the site changes.
A future newsletter, contact form, content-management system or analytics service will need a clear explanation here. I will identify its purpose, the information involved, how long it is retained and the choices available before it becomes part of the public site.
